Anyone remember it? It was definitely my favouriite console ever. Incredible games like Mario series, Donkey Kong Country, F-Zero and Sensible Soccer. Still play it occasionally, bringing back great memories.

I cannot bear the graphics of PS2 let alone the snes. Maybe, I am just a graphic whore.

Nice good memories from SNES days. I still remember when i finished STARFOX for the first time. That ending song made me stream down tears from my cheek.

Lately I've been playing more SNES games on my WII then the actual games for the system. The Virtual Console is a great idea, but they need to work on completing the library of games.

Something about Nintendo and Apple seem like they are similar. Probably the naming of their stuff like WiiFit and iSight, WiMote, MacBook; silly stuff like that. Personally I don't like either companies, I dislike apple, but Nintendo is in the middle, I don't want to buy it but at least they don't jack up their prices or sell shotty hardware - they make quality product at a very fair price.
Back to the original topic I like original nintendo more - for duck hunt. I was thinking something - hook duck hunt up to 52" TV and I wonder if it would be supremely easy - I suppose the little light gun can detect precision down to a small field on a normal TV, but when that simple small field is expanded onto a big screen it seems it would make it easier to hit the targets because the game would be more 'forgiving' with accuracy. |

The SNES was great too for all ages. We got my grandmother one and she played all the mario games on it. Though for downloading purposes, the dreamcast waz da shiznit! Miss that console.

Mario games is always great on Nintendo consoles, including SNES
Others great title is like Zelda, Chrono Trigger. Now I already own a Nintendo Dual Screen, the Mario Kart and New Super Mario Bros, is the best to have in a party. My elder brother and younger sister always play multiplayer together |

I owned a Sega MegaDrive (generally called Genesis in the US) and I was so happy with it. I bought it mostly bcz of Sonic and the fact that most of my school-friends owned it instead of SNES. On the other hand I vividly remember game-review magazines always claiming that the graphics and sound were a little better in SNES and I was jealous. For some reason I never liked the silly&cute Nintendo games (eg. Mario) so I can't say I regretted buying one.
The only time I came really close is when Rare published Donkey Kong, the graphics were something else, I couldnt believe what I was seeing and years later I enjoyed playing the game via on my PC via emulator. Nevertheless it's a legend console that those who are a little older will always remember. |
